Making Electricity: Grade 5

Students learn how to construct electricity using batteries.

March 2024. Creating Electricity and Having Fun. AASEE volunteers Valentina Moreno and Anthony Rovere, along with Dr. Anis Haque and Board Member Dennis Rovere spent a wonderful day with 100 Grade Five students at Prairie Water elementary School, in Chestermere Alberta. Not only did they learn about electromagnetism, turbines, and working in teams, they also created enough electricity (without batteries) to light up an LED bulb. The students were just great!
